TRANSLATOR AND INTERPRETER FOR THE UNIVERSIDAD AUTÓNOMA DE BELLATERRA

1985 –Starts singing professionally with the group PIANOGROSSO (piano and óbice duet). In 1987 goes on the market with her album BLISS.

1988 –Forms the group LAURA SIMÓ & CONRAD SETÓ SOUND (with Lluis Atance in base and David Simó in drums).
In October 1988, represent Spain in the Jazz category in the festival MARS INTERNATIONAL, in Paris.
Since then, starts working regularly with the pianist LUCKY GURI, in a duet with his quintet, and also with FRANCESC BURRULL; in a tribute to COLE PORTER.
Records two songs of the album "JAZZ AL DRAC-VOL.1", from the mythical Cueva del Dragón, with the local musicians, directed by the trumpeter Arnau Boix.

1989-Presents the show "BREVIARI D'AMOR", with JORDI SABATÉS and his quintet of cambra. Is a recompilation of songs of trovators from Provenza from the XI and XII centuries, arranged by Jordi Sabatés.

1991-JUAN CARLOS CALDERÓN invites her to join him in concert with his Big Band. Featuring the closing ceremonies at the Summer Festival in the Plaza Porticada de Santander.

1993-Several jazz performances in "EURORING 93" at the Palcio de la Música, by the Big Band of Barcelona directed by Francesc Burrull, and Laura Simó, performs representing Catalonia Radio in its 10th anniversary.
Laura Simó and Carme Canela form the group "ESTAMOS REUNIDAS", with Joan Vinyals in guitar, Xavi Ibáñez in keyboard, David Simó in drums and Ignasi Zamora in electric base.
Also joins the Big Band de John Dubuclet.

1995-Creates the group LAURA SIMÓ SEXTET (Francesc Capella in keyboards, Jordi Portaz in base, David Simó in drums, Menno Mariën in sax and Joan Vinyals in guitar).

1996-To celebrate the century of the cinema’s birth, Laura Simó forms a duet with Joan Vinyals and present the show JAZZ AL CINEMA, which is a recompilation of movie themes and Broadway musicals from the 40’s to the 80’s.
In June records live in Jamboree of Barcelona the CD “THE BEST IS YET TO COME”, from the group Laura Simó Sextet, with arrangements from Joan Vinyals and Francesc Capella.

1997-Laura Simó Sextet presents its new album all over Spain.

1998-Laura Simó, Joan Vinyals and Horacio Fumero record the CD LAURA SIMO: DE CINE, MY FAVOURITE THINGS, at the Gemecs studio, in Premià de Mar for the tirad year, Laura Simó performs at the Jamboree during Christmas week, and form a monograph about Stevie Wonder, joined by Xavi Ibáñez, Jordi Portaz, David Simó and Joan Vinyals.

1999-Goes on the market her album LAURA SIMÓ: DE CINE and presents at the Jamboree auditorium.
JOAN GUASCH, director of the Eixample Theatre puts their name up for the GREC 99' and they perform at the theatre during the month of July.
During the Christmas web at Jamboree, presents an addition to the group LAURA SIMÓ: DE CINE incorporating a new musician, a saxophonist.

2000-Joins CARME CANELA again, this time with a jazz trio and presents their new CD at the Jazz Festival of Terrassa, and in Tortosa, joined by the Acadèmic Big Band.
Continues her tour around the country with her show LAURA SIMÓ: DE CINE.
On Novermber 2nd performs at the Barcelona Auditorium, joined by the O.B.C songs from the German songwriter Wilheim Gross.
On decemner 2nd performs at the Luz de Gas auditórium in Barcelona, and within the Jazz Fetival of Barcelona, her new show: LAURA SIMÓ: DE CINEMA EUROPEU, joined by the Ensemble de Bellaterra, directed by Eladio Reinón.

2002-Continues touring her show DE CINE.
In March, presents a new show with Miles Davies’ songs, joined by Francesc Capella in piano, at the Mercado de las Flores, Teatro Puigcerver.
On September 5th 2002 presents again the show LAURA SIMO: CANCIONES DE MUSICALES Y PELICULAS EUROPEAS, at the Festival De Músiques de Matadepera.
On September 19th opens the 50th Cinema Festival of Saint Sebastian.
From October 25th to 31st tours Catalonia presenting the same show closing the tour on November 2nd and 3rd at the sala Espai where she record a live CD.
On November 14th, presents her new project, joined on piano by Francesc Burrull, singing songs by Joan Manuel Serrat.
