Núria Feliu Mestres, known as Núria Feliu, celebrated singer and carácter that will remain in the history and will stay in the collective memory of our Nation, being nominated: FELIU.

Though known as native from Barcelona universally, she was born in the town of Santos, where she still lives. Her nighbours put a plaque in the place where she was born.

No artist has such a vast performance in all the fields of the performing arts: theatre, song, movies, radio, TV, poetry, etc.

Her imput in the normalization of the language has been fundamental and decisive. Over more than 32 years Núria Feliu has recorded more than 500 songs, with concerts at the Catalonian Palace of Music,and the most renowned places in the music world.

But certainly Núria Feliu has brought a new style to our civic reality; she’s always been an artist and a woman compromised with her time, her land and her people.

Her presence in the Catalonian countries in any event, literary or political,; socio-cultural; musical, etc, has been important and constant sido siempre constant, along her people who wanted its own language and culture.

That’s why Núria Feliu has been given the distinction that a citizen of our town could have:the Cruz de Sant Jordi, that celebrates a lifelong of achievements.
