Born in Barcelona, in 1934. Enters the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo de Barcelona at 7.

The great Pere Vallribera was his mentor.
Finishes the music and piano career with excellent marks and obtain the golden medal and the "Santa Cecilia" award.

Becomes renowned very early in the musical industry in Barcelona. Forms his own groups: "Latin Combo", with whom he records 12 albums; and later "Latin Quartet" recording other 7 albums.
Plays along with Sydney Béchet, Bill Coleman, Chet Baker, Don Byass and Jean- Luc Ponty. With Tete Montoliu record 2 CDs.

in the birth of the "Dieciseis Jueces", he joins the world of the new songs, as a composer. Becomes the director of the dirección Publishing House Concéntrico, and wins the Great Prize of the Catalonian Disc for his labour. Also joins other editors: Edigsa, Discophon, Ariola, Emi-Odeon, Zafiro i MoviePlay, always in the Catalonian music field.

In this period he worked with Joan Manuel Serrat, Lluis Llach, Guillermina Mota, Nuria Feliu, Pere Tapias, La Trinca y un largo etc...
Records a tribute album to Duke Ellington, which ended up the the birth of the Barcelona’s "Big Band", formation of 18 musician, him being the director.

Haa collaborated with the Municipal Band and the O.B.C., as a solo piano player in the "Rapsody in Blue" and the "Concert en Fa" of Gershwin. He was also invited by the Berkley School in Boston.

Noawadays alternates his personal and group’s performances , forming a trio with Llorenç Ametller, and Quim Soler recording "Passeig de Gràcia" and "Barcelona Jazz". In piano he recorded the CD "Blanc i Negre"

Wins theNational Music Prize in 1992, from the Generalitat de Catalunya, as a jazz interpreter.
